8. does any amp ab may be bridged to mono? mine has common ground, with black screwable contacts at the back, the two negatives of each channel output go to ground, perhaps it is possible to separate the circuitry but if you only have to attach + – to red terminals, i will try that, my amp is 450×2 rms 4ohms, 250×2 8ohms, i think if i am able to bridge it, will have 500watt rms 8ohms mono bridged.

9. Watch a few of your videos on power amps, and still have a problem with mine. Great videos by the way. I acquired a wharfedale pro s1000 power amp at an estate auction. I know a little bit about the stereo equipment, but not much on power amps. My input, is a simple singing microphone. My outputs are two Bose 101 20 watt speakers. Small stuff, just trying to see if both channels work. Input a, and output a, seems to be the only ones working. Change the microphone to B, and nothing works. There are 12 mode switches, and all of them are switched down, or I would presume off. The mode switch positions and chart are a bit confusing to me. I was able to get bridge mode working I think. I switched three switches for bridge mode, and attacked my speaker to the to red terminals for bridged mono. This time, when I spoke into the mic, both signal lights for both channels lit up. So, I'm not really sure where my fault is. I have removed the top cover, just to check for any burnt fuse or loose wire or melted push thru terminal. None to be seen.

12. i have a UNIKA A1300 amplifier, when CH1 positive negative is connected, CH2 positive negative is connected, connected like in stereo mode; but whe n I switch to bridge mono mode, it still works and sound is louder, i wonder what's the mechanics behind this….anyone can shed insight on this?

35. Hi I watch your video however it didn't cover my issue. I'm trying to figure out whether to use one RCA input to the bridged car amplifier or with a y adapter used both left and right. the manual has the speaker wiring as left positive and right negative for positive and negative speaker connections respectively. The owners manual does not state whether to use one or both with a y adapter. What do you think sir? I have another brand amp from the same year that states in the manual specifically to use the left only, the speaker wiring in the bridged mode is the same as the one listed above and also has a switch for bridged or stereo mode, not that that makes any difference.
