เป็นระบบปฎิบัติการที่ได้รับความนิยมมากในการทำเป็น Serverสำหรับเวปไซต์ การเก็บข้อมูล และเป็นหลังบ้านสำหรับการทำแอพพลิเคชั่นมือถือ หรือ Web App ในการเป็น Api Server ซึ่งข้อดีขึ้อใช้งานง่าย มีข้อมูลช่วยเหลือค่อนข้างเยอะ มี Mirror สำหรับการดาวน์โหลด package หลายที่และรวดเร็ว เฉพาะในประเทศไทยก็มีมากกว่า 2 ที่ ทำให้เร็วและสะดวกในการติดตั้งและอัพเดท โดยรูปแบบ package จะใช้ของ debian หรือ .deb ซึ่งมีความเสถียรค่อนข้างมาก ทำให้เป็นที่น่าเชื่อถือสำหรับการใช้งานจริง (production) และมีการอัพเดทที่ต่อเนื่องและยะยเวลายาวนาน เช่นเวอร์ชั่น LTS จะรองรับการอัพเดทถึงปี 2023 ซึ่งทำให้มัดใจได้ว่าจะได้รับ package ที่ใหม่ตลอดเวลา
